Animals should not suffer in any way for the sake of our beauty. We’re proud that none of the products we use or sell at Head Shed are tested on animals, they are not sold in countries where animal testing is the law and nor do they use animal derived ingredients.

Waste accounts for a third of all global Co2 emissions. we follow the waste hierarchy and wherever possible we..

• Refuse - we don’t purchase one time use items such as capes, cups or cotton wool

• Reuse - we choose to use items that we can reuse such as silicone cutting collars, colour bowls made from wheat based bio plastics & Paper not foil for colour.

• Recycle - We use the company green salon collective to remove our salon waste ethically. They recycle our hair into oil spill kits, melt down our foil to be re-used as more hair foils and granulate our PCR recycled bottles for turning back into more PP bottles.

Nothing from our salon goes to landfill!

We use organic colour systems for all our hair care, they are a registered B corp business.

Their products are 98% naturally derived, vegan-friendly and 80% of ingredients are certified organic.

We would like to give back to our community, we sell local suppliers art work in our salon, we plan to host evenings within our Ringwood salon so small groups. We also plan to host free hair cuts for the homeless. Within our salon we think very carefully about everything from the accessories on the shelves to the furniture you sit on, nearly every piece of furniture in our new Ringwood salon was pre-loved. Our tea and coffee station started life as a wardrobe! Our aim is to become a B-corp company in the future and continue to work towards.
